A free-standing lining built from U-track and C-stud framing erected in front of the wall to be lined. The cavity
created between the lining and the background carries services and can be filled with insulation. Plasterboard is
screw-fixed to the exposed face of the framing and the joints are taped and filled to give an even, continuous surface

A direct-fix lining in which furring channels or C-studs are fixed to the face of the wall, either directly or on adjustable
brackets where the background is out of plumb. Plasterboard is then screw-fixed to the framing and the joints taped and
